It's TIME!

Here are the final Sunday musings of 2019. Not sure how this year flew by, but it did.

Time is an interesting and eerie construct, isn’t it?

A human made concept to be sure, but how can we use it as we move forward into this new decade and this new year?

I am not one for resolutions; If it works for you, go at it!

I am currently working on Tony Howell’s “12 Days of YOU” - a FREE (yes, a free free) course online that aligns with Tony’s service to the artist. (It’s not too late to join - you can do this with me!!!)

As I squint a little to see into the horizon and claim some big dreams/big goals, I realize that 2019 was a year of settling in; of observation; of gestation; of preparation.

Now, it’s time.

Time to put the next into gear; time to take a breath and say “ready or not, here I come!” instead of “wait! wait! I’m not ready yet!” Time to claim, time to action; time to keep dreaming while exploring what that looks like day to day and how it shapes and forms and begins to take root.

Is it a little scary? yes. Is it a little exciting? yes. Is it creating major resistance? uh, yes. That last one? That’s when I know I am on the right path.

What are some of your big dreams?

How are you discovering goals within those dreams?

How are you going to create the steps, the jumps, the dance into those goals?

I am committing to myself that my 2020 is going to see action, creation, & tangibility of possibility.

You may want Tony’s course as a template and as a guide to help you find specifics. I honestly hadn’t spoken out loud or written out what I am focused on until just a few days ago. Language has agency, and we as artists, with our “but what if…” often stops me from following through.

No more.

(did anybody else just hear a Sondheim song with that last statement? just me?)

Is it that easy? Well, it’s a start. One day, one week, one month, at a time. Nothing worthwhile is easy, but you do discover an ease as you move into it.

What is it time for in your sphere?

What is there no more room for, in order for you to claim that tangibility for your next?

Dream big. Work it backwards from there.

Listen, I get it. Sometimes, I dream so big, that it may not fit into the timeline. Then I get frustrated, scared, annoyed, and nothing gets done.

Dream big. Don’t overwhelm the dream. Move the action into do-able tangibles.

The beauty of time: you can work from all directions! Backward, forward, now, then, soon…so many options, so many possibilities.

Find your tangibles. Create them as you recognize them. Claim them, commit to them, let them commit to you.

YOU, commit to YOU.

It’s time.

I am with you. I really am.

Here’s to YOU - stretching in all directions - in your time.
