Both/And

The fatigue is real…

Within a day, from day to day, we continue to adjust to the normal that is and find our way through.

What is truly becoming apparent, is that the paradigms are already shifted. More than ever, it is not an either/or but a both/and.

Why?

Because you CAN. You can choose to pivot and explore possibilities. It doesn’t mean you are turning your back on anything.

The artist leads by his/her creativity. It’s simply how we breathe. It is our nature.

We are essential. This time can allow us permission to rest AND expand. Permission to rest AND grow. Permission to rest AND discover.

What else within our study? What else within the larger realm of our voice work? Of our business? Of the genre we inhabit?

What else outside of it? Where could we discover another level or consciousness of creativity?

Could it be both? Yes! AND!!!!!

I hope that even in the fatiguing moments, you are claiming the truth that YOU matter. What you DO, matters. I hope you are claiming your energy just by breathing, just by being present, to know that you never, EVER have to apologize for who you are and what you do, and what you pursue. I hope you know deep in the depths of you that even though our industry is in a long intermission, that WHEN it returns, you do not need to make excuses, or apologize for WHO you are and WHY you do your work.

Create your both/and. NOT your either/or.

Let the possibility of that allow you to color outside the lines during a time that gives you that grace.

It’s not go, go, go right now. It’s go DEEP and discover that creative consciousness that allows you permission to explore the “both”. The “and”.

There is no room for “yeah/but”.

We will get through all of this, rise from the ashes of paradigms shifting, and continue to CREATE without waiting for approval, or permission.

Stand in your power. Relax into your power when you are tired. It's always been there. Now is the time to claim it and allow it move you into your next - or allow you to be cocooned by it a little longer, as your next and your both and your AND are nurtured.

With fondness & fierceness,

Susan
