My work with Susan is organic, invigorating, and inspiring! She continually offers insight on technique, style, and rep. I can count on her to always 'give it to me straight' while remaining supportive in every way. Her knowledge of the vocal instrument and the body has been invaluable at navigating multiple approaches to the sound that is needed depending on the job at hand. Moreover, she is one of those rare teachers who goes above and beyond, truly caring for her students not only as singers, but as individuals. I have seen many NYC voice teachers, and believe me—none compare! Working with Susan has opened me to new connections for my fledgling theatre company, other educational opportunities within the city, and new perspectives on this crazy life we get sucked into called 'the biz'. Through her, I have found more joy in singing and re-finding confidence I was certain was long gone. I am so grateful to be discovering my musical authenticity under her guidance and expertise.
