Susan has a gift for knowing exactly how to address what is going on vocally and physically. She always gently coaxes out a free voice, and we laugh a lot in the process. Her exercises are specific, clear, targeted to the issue at hand. She also happens to be a bottomless source of knowledge, ideas, and resources! Her experience is broad and diverse, yet her teaching is specific and personal. Under Susan's guidance, I have gained ownership of and insight into my voice. As a teacher myself, I have learned as much about singing as I have about how to be a nurturing, guiding presence in the studio.
