Podcasts & Menopause

Are you a podcast person? You may find something of interest here. If not, share it with a woman who does listen!

If you are a podcast person and have some favorites not mentioned here - please share below. I love knowing what you are discovering too!

Pop one of these one between your spooky podcasts this month. I have a plethora of those too!!

Again, if someone doesn’t resonate with you, don’t listen. Find the podcasts that offer information that is useful to you. There is no one size fits all in vocal technique, and nor is there in peri thru post!

These are some of my go-to podcasts. I hope you find some new ones!

YOU ARE NOT BROKEN with Dr Kelly Casperson

Dr Casperson is a urologist (one of the few female urologists btw) and is smart, funny, and down to earth. Her knowledge is exceptional and her guests are complementary to her style of conversation. I learn something from every episode! Her information is cutting edge and all the new science is being discussed here, but it is accessible and understandable in her hands. Highly recommend.

THE DR GABRIELLE LYON SHOW

Dr Lyon is a badass. This podcast isn’t about menopause all the time - but it provides great conversations with other medical specialists and menopause comes up a lot! Dr Lyon is a muscle-centric specialist and if you are looking to deep dive into building muscles in menopause, muscle and hormones, and lifting and nutrition peri through post - I think you will love this one.

THE SWEATY PILLOW with Lara Smith

This podcast is more like a community. It offers expert advise week to week, educational resources and more. You can join the community of women online which can be very empowering! Between great information and conversation on the podcast, and a website full of resources, this is a great podcast!

FEMPOWER HEALTH with Georgie Kovacs

This podcast really looks at navigating peri through post with a wide lens. Guests are physicians, researchers and advocates and the information is invaluable - from mental health to gaps in care, to navigating and advocating for yourself. Another great one!

THE TAMSEN SHOW with Tamsen Fadal

Twice a week Tamsen has leading doctors, leading voices in women’s health and stories of women writing and re-writing their stories. It is a combination of great information, and empowerment. High recommend.

unPAUSED - with Dr Mary Claire Haver

Dr Haver sits down weekly with health professionals, women’s advocate specialists and more to discuss and breakdown the science, the research and how in practical terms, we can get involved in advocating for our own health and well-being. This is more than a podcast, but a community. Another great one!

I could go on - but I don’t want to overwhelm you! These are just a few of the podcasts I listen to while driving/doing laundry/at the gym.

Let me know what you discover and who you listen to! I will add them to our resources in the upcoming book!

In the meantime, claim your space. Claim your breath. Exhale and stretch without excuse or apology.

with fondness,
