Your Power, Your Purpose

I shared this on social media this weekend. It really hit home with me, and by the number of responses, to many of you.

In this crazy time when there isn’t a “normal” in our industries - whatever that is - or much that resembles what was pre-Covid as far as work, auditions, et al - is more important to acknowledge now than ever.

Releasing the old patterns, the old paradigms, the old everything is hard. Not because the old/other was necessarily better, reliable and clear, but because it was familiar. Things aren’t familiar right now. We all have to pivot, step, ball, change and be ready for our next.

If we can allow ourselves to re-focus on our calling, and our purpose, this may help to get us out of heads and into our craft, so we are ready, willing and able to create boundaries as we walk into the change within the industry.

This may seem like an oximoron but it’s not.

The clearer you are in your work and intention, the clearer your boundaries will be when possible work invites you in. The less you cling to old patterns, places, people, projects, the clearer that purpose becomes. As that purpose becomes clearer, you will find the clarity of where that purpose can reside, wants to reside, is willing to reside.

Begin with purpose.

Get right into the dirt with it and create the clarity.

You do not have to figure out the how, the where, the when - just know WHAT and WHY.

What do you want to do?

Why?

Those are really the two crucial questions. The where and the when and the how will find you once you claim this power and this peace within yourself.

Sound too simple?

It’s not. Yet, it is.

If we take a moment to quit chasing things out of our control, and simply claim what we can take ownership of, the chaos slows down; the hustle relaxes; the energy increases; the agita decreases.

Take the time to go deep into yourself to discover how powerful you are. The answer is within you. I promise.

with fondness & fierceness,
