Places!

And once again, we are in a new year. Here is 2022.

Are you a resolution person? Do you have rituals at this time? Do you choose a word or words, or a phrase to begin a new year?

Are you eager to get started? Are you content to reflect?

As theatre people we know and can here the word that begins this blog post:

PLACES!

It evokes so much in our senses: excitement, nervousness, energy, momentum.

Places. It’s now or never.

Places. Action.

Places. Centering.

Places. It’s happening.

Places. Am I ready?

Places. Ready or not.

Places. Take a breath.

Places. Focus.

Places. I am prepared.

Places. We’ve got this.

You’ve got this. You simply do. Whether it feels still or chaotic, or anything inbetween, you’ve simply got this.

Take your place in your life. Nobody lives it but you. Nobody experiences it but you.

Nobody tells the story of you, like you.

Take the time to gestate, to find stillness, to be at your pace and in your time and experience.

Release the hustle, the convention, the imposed schedule.

When it’s your life, your path, your journey, you are already in place!
